Power Industry

Chrome Moly Steel is used in power stations because of it's high temperature resistance We stock a large number of Chrome molybdenum plates for customers in the power sector. Because of the high temperatures in many power generation systems traditional boiler plates are not suitable. Consequently plates with resistance to high temperature are much more appropriate.

These plates are made by adding chromium and molybdenum to the steel and this proves both resistance to creep at higher temperature and also increased corrosion resistance. Consequently there can be significant savings by using these grades compared to stainless steels with their much high nickel and chrome content.

The main grades that we stock are:

We deliver both to power stations for repair and maintenance work and also to some of the largest suppliers of heat transfer equipment in the power sector.
