A387 Grade 22 Steel used in a Power plant

A387 Grade 22 Class 2 is a standard chrome moly steel plate according to ASME/ASTM standard A387/A387M. It is used in a wide variety of applications where the boiler, heat exchanger or pressure vessel will be at high temperatures.

A387 Grade 22 plates come in thicknesses of between 8 and 40mm and in standard plates sizes of 2m x 12m and 3m x 12m

The plates are mainly rolled in Germany and Austria, with Salzgitter being a typical mill , and come with an MTC to EN10204 3.1

We only offer A387 G2 22 to Class 2 as these have improved physical properties over class 1 plates
