Large heads made of ASTM ASME A387 Grade 11 being heat treated

A387 Grade 11 is a chrome moly steel according to the ASTM/ASME A387 standard and is designed for use in welded boilers and pressure vessels used a elevated temperatures

ASTM/ASME A387 11 Class 2 is available from stock in a range of thicknesses from 6 mm to 60 mm. These plates all from German or northern European mills and normally have an MTC to EN10204 3.1

A387 Gr 11 contains Chromium and moybdenum as alloying elements to provide the heat and corrosion resistance than enables it to be used at high temperatures.

We only offer A387 Grade 11 to Class 2 as these have improved physical properties over class 1 plates

European customers can purchase  ASTM A387 Gr 11 from AncoferWaldram or order new rolling directly from Dillinger Hutte. You can purchase a copy of ASTM A387A387M-11 from the ASTM website
