This section of the website covers a variety of topics that provide supporting information to the main steel grade pages, or which we think is useful for procurement engineers and others buying steel.

We start with a section on testing which briefly summarises what is involved in some of the most commonly specified tests. We have a page on the general requirements for boiler plates which covers many of the common supplementary requirements and a page on the certification of plates and what each certificate means.

We then have a page on cutting and profiling and then one on the packing and shipment of plates. We also have a glossary of commonly used terms when purchasing steel and shipping steel internationally.

We have a page on mill orders – for when your requirements will have to be rolled directly by the mill, general plate dimensions, the origin of our steel and how we ensure its quality and importantly our stock levels and how quickly we are able to deliver.
