OGA 2009
Oakley Steel had a very successful exhibition at Kuala Lumpur’s
prestigious Conference Centre. Even with 7 of us on the stand we were
hard pressed at times to talk to all the customers and potential customers
waiting. Why were we so popular? We are the only European steel stockholder
with a representative office in Malaysia and so we were exhibiting
as a local company and many of our customers wanted to come along
and say hello. The other reason that made many other stop and talk
to us is that the premium quality steel that we sell is critical to
the safety and reliability of oil and gas extraction in the Laut China
Selatan (South China Sea) and as importantly keeping costs down over
the long run.

OGA 2009
We are delighted to say that Oakley Steel will be exhibiting at OGA
2009 in Kuala Lumpur between the 10th and 12th of June 2009. OGA 2009
is one of the largest Oil and Gas exhibitions in South East Asia and
we expect that 22,000 trade visitors will be attending. At Oakley
Steel we are very proud to be attending such a prestigious event.
Our booth is in Hall 5 in the UK pavilion and you are welcome to come

Senay Oakley Nominated as Finalist
in Women on the Way Awards 2009
Senay Oakley, Sales Director of Oakley Steel has been shortlisted
as a finalist in the prestigious Women on Their Way Awards 2009.
The WOW awards recognise "those women on the move, those who mobilise
others and those who create change when it all feels too hard. Those
on their way to the top! All together, it's about celebrating and
recognising the energy that women bring into work and their resolve
to make a difference."

OSEA 2008 Review
OSEA 2008 in Singapore was a great success for Oakley Steel. Our redesigned
stand and brochures proved popular with customers and competitors
alike and Oakley Steel bags were seen all across the Suntec Exhibition
Centre.
We saw many old friends and customer and met a lot of new customers.
We'd like to say thank you very much to everyone who took the time
to come and visit our stand, for the e-mails of support that we received
before the exhibition, and apologise for those of you who had to wait
on Thursday and Friday when the stand got very busy.

OSEA 2008
We will be at OSEA 2008 at Suntec in Singapore this week. OSEA is
the leading oil and gas exhibition in South East Asia and we have
a stand in the UK pavilion on the 4th floor. Senay Oakley our Export
Sales Director will be on the stand as will other members of the team
from our Malaysian office. Please come and visit us to find out more

New Website
Oakley Steel is proud to announce
that its new website has gone live. The new website has a lot more
information on the type and grades of steels that we offer –
especially on our key product ranges of A516
and A387
plate. We have also provided a lot more information about steel and
the export process to our customers in response to the feedback that
we got when we asked them what they wanted. Enjoy and please give
us feedback so we can make it even better!

Oakley Steel announces its stand at
OSEA 2008
Oakley Steel will be at OSEA 2008 in Singapore with a stand in Hall
2. OSEA is one of the largest oil and gas events in Asia and Oakley
Steel’s key HIC resistant steel grades are in high demand from
fabricators designing pressure vessels for sour service. Come and

and this will save time queuing at the entrance.

Today Senay Oakley our Export Sales Director gave birth to a healthy
girl – Anastasia Maya Oakley. Congratulations to them both!

Oakley Steel today opens its Malaysian Representative Office in Petaling
Jaya, Malaysia. In order to serve our customers in the Asia–Pacific
region better we have opened a representative office in Malaysia.
With 6 marketing and support staff based here the office will be the
first point of contact for many boiler and pressure vessel manufacturers
who require high quality European boiler plate.
